Chocolate Thistles

These are great little treats to share. The cereal gives them a cool “spiky” look and sneaks some fiber in, too. I used almonds and a little dried cranberries and they were a hit!

1 3.5-oz bar milk chocolate
1 cup All-Bran cereal
1/2 cup roasted peanuts or slivered almonds and dried cranberries, chopped dried apricots, or any combination

Fill saucepan with water and bring to a boil. Break up chocolate into metal bowl that will fit on top of the saucepan. Remove saucepan from heat, and place bowl with chocolate over steaming water. Stir until chocolate is melted. Remove bowl from steam. Stir in cereal and nuts and/or dried fruit until coated with chocolate.

Spoon 1 Tablespoon mounds of chocolate mixture onto parchment lined baking sheets. Transfer to freezer to set for 10 minutes or more.
