Coffee Smoothies for 2

We are drinking decaf coffee these days after cutting out caffeine early this year for health reasons. I still love a hot mug in the mornings, even without the extra pep in the step that caffeine used to give me.

Coffee can make a delicious breakfast smoothie as well! Just be sure to freeze your banana slices ahead of time. And if you are not caffeine averse, then you can enjoy a smoothie with a little boost!

1 large banana or 2 small bananas, sliced and frozen
1 cup brewed coffee, chilled
1 cup milk, any variety
1/2 cup rolled oats
spoonful of nut butter (optional, but really delicious)

Puree all ingredients in a blender until smooth, adding more milk as necessary to reach a consistency to your liking.

Optionally top with a sprinkle of chocolate and serve immediately.
