These are delicious oven fries, but sweet potato version. The sweetness of the brown sugar and the spiciness of the cayenne are spectacular additions to the beloved sweet potato. Try these, they are easy to make and you’ll love them.
2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced slightly thinner than steak fries
½ tsp cayenne pepper (1/4 tsp if you are spice sensitive)
2 Tbs brown sugar
1 tsp kosher salt
2 Tbs canola or vegetable oil
salt and pepper
Toss sweet potato slices with the canola oil.
Place on a cookie sheet, salt and pepper one side.
Bake in 400 degree oven for 20 minutes.
Turn fries and bake for another 20 minutes.
Remove from oven when edges are golden.
Mix brown sugar, kosher salt and cayenne pepper together.
Sprinkle on fries as they come out of oven. Toss and serve.
