I got a new book that I used in concocting today’s smoothie because I wasn’t sure if strawberries and nuts would pair well together. I’m happy to say they do and I found out using the “The Vegetarian Flavor Bible” by Karen Page, which lists ALL kinds of vegetarian ingredients and what flavor/ingredient would pair well and what flavor/ingredient pairs the Best with it. I love this book and this is a fabulous smoothie that can be made vegan by using rice milk, almond milk, etc. Servings = 2
strawberries (I used about 12)
2 – 3 Tablespoons peanut butter
1 apple, cored and chopped
1 orange, peeled and de-seeded
2 handfuls of ice
milk of your choice
Combine all ingredients and blend to your desired consistency, adding milk as needed.
